Spiros Skordilis playing bouzouki

Description

Bouzouki virtuoso Spiros Skordilis played extensively in Athenian clubs during the early 1960s, and some of his became standards. He came to the U.S. in the late 1960s and to Tarpon Springs in 1977. He taught in the Florida Folklife Apprenticeship Program and the City of Tarpon Springs’ bouzouki workshops. Spiros was born in 1930 and died on June 15, 2013.
