Men gather at the Samarkos Coffee House on Athens Street after the cross-diving on Epiphany, 1945. They include in the front unidentified, Michael Manias, Peter Mastrovasilis, and John A. Samarkos smoking a nargiles; back seated are George Kindinis, Nicholas Pantelis; standing in back is Konstantinos Moutsatsos, unidentified, Steve Peterson, Bill Paskalakis, Anthony Samarkos, and the rest unidentified. Moutsatsos, who retrieved the cross, is holding the tray that the cross divers traditionally take around town to collect donations for the church.
